Finding Your Personal Goals

First, you must know what your personal goals are as a person who is curious or trying to seek understanding in the Bible. What is the importance of the word to you?

The Bible can enrich us in Bible knowledge, but what can learning the Bible do for you as a seeker? Of course, the Bible helps us understand the significance of Christianity and its relevance today.

We can also see the Bible as an art of literature that contains thousands of years of art and history that even scholars today are fascinated about. Perhaps learning the Bible grants you personal and spiritual enlightenment as well.

Whatever our reasons for seeking the Bible is, we cannot deny that the words contained within the Bible change us.

As the Bible says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NIV).

The more we immerse ourselves within the Bible, the more it helps us to enrich our faith and correct us to become righteous and do what is good.

Word That Reflects Our Spiritual Condition

Even as a personal testimony, equipping myself with the words of the Bible helped me to see myself from an objective point of view.

It helped me to see what my spiritual flaws are, why they are flaws, and what I must do. The Bible is like a mirror that reflects our spirit. The word encourages, protects, and guides us as we grow in understanding God.

Ultimately, we are not just learning more knowledge as we attend Bible studies and lessons. But these studies and groups can help us grow spiritually so that we can connect with God.

Although we may not see the changes within us clearly right away, we will see them in the future as we continue to seek the word. We would be able to see how we inherit the characteristics of God, Jesus, and even the apostles.

Ultimately, we can inherit the mindset of the apostles who are perfect examples of followers of God and Christ.

How To Begin Reading The Bible

Everyone can benefit from learning the word! Studying the Bible does not have to be limited to Christians. For existing believers, learning the Bible helps with our desire of wanting to know God as our spiritual Father, just like how a child desires to know their parents.

But it can be a confusing and difficult matter. Which church should we choose? Where? And how can we study the Bible?

That is why sites like BibleStudyForAll can be a great resource for those who want to be directly connected to a community of groups and teachers that can help in the growth of knowledge in the Bible.

In the Bible study, students are able to journey from the book of Genesis to Revelation while discussing profound topics such as parables, understanding the Old Testament, and the truth of Jesus’ teachings. The Bible groups are guided by missionaries and teachers.

Overall, students are given the opportunity to be introduced to a community that shares a similar spiritual journey and help support you along the way!

Growing In Understanding

Just as it says in Psalms, “the unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” (Psalms 119:130, NIV). Learning God’s word not only enlightens our spiritual faith but enlightens our understanding of God.

For non-believers, we can help introduce the Bible to help start your spiritual journey into Christianity. For those who have the seeking and curious heart of the Bible, we are an excellent resource!

As the Bible says, “You will see me and find me when you seek me with your heart,” (Jeremiah 29:13). Therefore, let us seek for understanding of the Bible with our hearts to find the spiritual truth of the world through God and his word.
